Homework/Projects
We have completed our unit on health and nutrition. I think the children are much more aware of making healthier choices regarding their diets.
We have begun a social studies unit on people in communities. We will be talking about immigration and ethnic communities. I always welcome input from home. I know that many families have cultural traditions or experiences that would add to our classroom discussions.

Reflections
We have been discussing prayer in class. Many children shared incidents about times they felt their prayers were not answered in the way they had hoped. While this is not an easy subject, I appreciated the openess with which the children shared. As we study verses related to prayer, we understand the importance of recognizing the sovereignty of God. As we trust Him more fully we begin to align our will with His.
