Job Day
The kids had a great time on JOB DAY! They all came prepared with their costumes and had to stand up and tell the class what job they wanted to be, how that job helps people, what kinds of tools and skills they would need to do that job, and how God is making them special to be able to do that kind of job. I can certainly see some skills or characteristics that God is giving each child that would help them with some of those career choices!
One of the moms, who is a Professor at Marist, came to tell about her job teaching about stories and writing. She read the kids a rebus story (with some pictures instead of words) and then helped them each to make their own.
At recess time one Dad brought his flat bed tow truck! I am sure he was sore after lifting 24 kindergartners up and down off of the back! The kids loved it up on top and especially loved when his son honked the VERY LOUD horn!
We learned a new song on Job day. It is called "WHAT IF". After naming lots of different jobs the chorus says:
What if, what if, it doesn't matter
What if, what if, it doesn't matter
With God's love I can be anything...
